MINUTES OF THE 2009 BUDGET/BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING OF BRISTOL LAKES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2008 AT 7:00 P. M.
AT THE WEST BOYNTON RECREATION PARK.

A 2009 Budget/Board Meeting of the Board of Directors of Bristol Lakes Homeowners Association, Inc. was held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the West Boynton Community Recreation Park.  The Meeting was duly posted.

Present from the Board were Charles Koch, President; Lew Doctor, Vice President; Treasurer; Mary Curlew, Secretary and Edward Tinari, Director. Brian Evans, Treasurer was out with prior notice.  Also present from Residential Management Concepts was Shannon Koorse.

The meeting was duly posted.

Charles Koch called the meeting to order at 7:15 P. M.

MINUTES

Lew Doctor moved to waive the reading of the minutes of the Board of Directors held on September 22, 2008 and to approve the minutes as presented; seconded by Mary Curlew.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

FINANCIALS

Lew Doctor moved to approve the proposed 2009 Budget as presented; seconded by Mary Curlew.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

Lew Doctor moved to approve the expense of up to $3,000.00 to renovate the Bristol Lakes sign; seconded by Mary Curlew.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

The sign will only say “Bristol Lakes” in Gold letters on the green tile.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Charlie Koch stated that the POA has lost three times now and that the Judge basically said mandatory membership was out now for all of Aberdeen.  The POA has asked for a review and for the Judge to remove himself.  He also stated that the Judge is not out and as of now mandatory membership is done.

Charlie Koch stated that the Board has sent out letters to other communities who had mandatory membership issues and about 200 people showed up at the last meeting.

The Board sent letters to all of Aberdeen and Charlie Koch stated that he has been getting calls from the Aberdeen residents of other communities.

A question and answer session followed with residents.

NEW BUSINESS

Lew Doctor stated that Aberdeen would be printing a new directory.

Charlie Koch stated would like to start up the “Bristol Lakes” article for the Aberdeen newsletter.  He asked for volunteers and if anyone was interested they should contact him.

Charlie Koch stated that as soon as the final decision on the lawsuit is done, the Board would decide on the mailboxes.

There being no further business before the Board, Mary Curlew moved to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Lew Doctor.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 P. M.
